Greenville welcomes Kylie Cino, Jaimie Martin and Tara Katz
Kylie Cino
Cino is a 2024 University of South Carolina signing from Wando High School in Mount Pleasant, SC. Despite her youth, the forward has a lengthy resume:
- 2021-2023 All-Region
- 2023 5A Region Player of the Year
- 2023 SCHS Women’s Soccer Player of the Year
- 2022-2023 SCHS 5A All-State
- 2023 SCCA women’s soccer 5A Player of the Year
- 3x 5A SC State Champion in 2021, 2022, 2023
- 2023 Courier Post Low Country Women’s Soccer Player of the Year
- 2022-2024 Gatorade Player of the Year nominee
- USA Today 2023 Top 50 High School Player National Watch List
In addition to her accolades, Cino has also been a team captain for Wando the past two seasons. Between her freshman and junior years, she has recorded 102 career goals and 89 career assists. Cino and Wando reached the SCHS quarterfinals
Jaimie Martin
Martin joins the Liberty from England. The Liverpool native just concluded her freshman year at Gardner-Webb University. Her first season in the States, she appeared in 12 matches, made 10 starts and recorded 63 saves – breaking the all time save record at GWU. Martin spent 862 minutes on the pitch and was named Big South Defensive Player of the Week in October after her first career clean sheet.
Before entering college, Martin played for her hometown club, Liverpool Feds FC, and high school, Neston High School. While at Neston, she was named Merseyside Sports Person of the Year in 2020 and Player of the Year from 2019-2020. Martin is the fourth goalkeeper to be announced for 2024.
Tara Katz
Originally from Alabama, Tara Katz spent her collegiate career at a different SEC powerhouse. Katz spent four seasons at the University of Tennessee before an injury sidelined her prior to her fifth year. The wingback played a hefty 5,159 minutes between her freshman and senior seasons. She stepped on the pitch 73 times for the Lady Vols, scored one goal, and made four assists. During her time in Knoxville she was named 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District, played 379 minutes of UT’s program-best shutout streak of 633:53, and was a member of the 2023 SEC Championship team. Katz will continue her collegiate career using her final year of eligibility at Furman University in the fall while pursuing her master’s.
Katz has also been rostered for South Central Division opponent, Birmingham Legion, and Tennessee Force in the WPSL. Prior to college, she was
