The club will host four theme nights
Greenville, SC (April 10, 2024) – It’s just one month out until the Greenville Liberty Soccer Club begins its third season in the Upstate, with returning Head Coach, Julie Carlson already signing 11 players to the team for 2024. As part of the lead-up to the season opener, the club has announced its promotional schedule for the six-match home slate that begins May 10th.
The Greenville Liberty season kicks off on Friday, May 10th against regional rivals, Asheville City at Paladin Stadium. The Home Opener will highlight the 2024 U20 Elite Girls Champions, some of which are current members of the Liberty. The team won the USL’s prestigious Academy Cup event last month in Tampa. The match will also feature a block party area with games, as well as a special giveaway at the gates.
When the team returns home on May 17th, Greenville will host a Big Summer Blowout including visits from two Arendelle princesses, a snowflake-making station, special merch sales on outerwear and other chilly surprises!
Midway through the season, the club will hold its annual Women’s Empowerment Night, highlighting women-owned businesses in the Upstate and female leaders in the community. Paired with the evening festivities, Greenville will offer sales on women’s merchandise and a post-match autograph session with the entire team.
The regular season concludes on June 25th with Fan Appreciation Night. To celebrate Liberty fans the team will offer discounts on merchandise, giveaways from club partners and more!
The Liberty will also spotlight the diverse members of the Greenville community during two matches in June. On the 4th, members of the LGBTQ+ community are encouraged to celebrate Pride Month at the match along with city and county organizations. Next on Wednesday, June 12th Upstate non-profits, community organizations and others are invited to join the team for a Service Night.
