Greenville Liberty Releases 2023 Schedule

The Liberty will embark on its second season Friday, May 12th

Greenville, SC (February 21, 2023) – The Greenville Liberty Soccer Club announced a 12-match season, featuring returning South Atlantic members NC Fusion, Wake FC, Charlotte Independence, NC Courage U23s, Asheville City SC and new addition FC Carolinas. Greenville will begin its search for a second division title beginning on May 12^th, with the regular season seven weeks later on July 2^nd.

Greenville will open the 2023 season at home against FC Carolinas the second week in May. Taking place at the Liberty’s newly-established home in Furman’s Paladin Stadium, the Liberty hopes to repeat its inaugural home opener 6-1-win last season against the NC Courage U23 squad.

The home side will spend another match in Greenville before the first road match, traveling to Ting Stadium to face Wake FC on May 20^th. The trip continues with a midweek away match at the team’s nearest geographic opponent in Charlotte on Wednesday, May 24.

Back home for a three-match stint, Greenville will battle against the NC Courage U23s on June 2^nd between meetings against Wake FC and the Independence for the second time.

On the road again, the Liberty will take on Asheville City and FC Carolinas a week apart on June 10^th and 17^th. Three days after Greenville faces FC Carolina, they’ll travel back to WakeMed for a final duel against the Courage.

In similar fashion to 2022, the Greenville Liberty will round out its home schedule on Wednesday, June 28^th against Asheville City SC at 7:00 PM. The regular season concludes on Sunday July 7^th when the Liberty travels to NC Fusion.
