This weekend Greenville will look to bring their characteristic onslaught of offensive savvy that has been seen throughout the South Atlantic division. The home side comes off a 2-0 shutout win against the Long Island Rough Riders on Wednesday night. Both Greenville and Tormenta will have a quick turn-around between matches, ensuring fatigue and the South Carolina heat will be in attendance this weekend.
Tormenta earned their spot in the semis with a tough 1-0 win over FC Miami City following a late goal by Amy Andrews. After winning out in the South Central division, the South Georgia squad will bring a 8-1-4 record into Sunday’s match. Just three hours apart, both clubs are familiar with each other, having formed a local rivalry on the men’s USL League One side between the Greenville Triumph and Tormenta FC.
