Garner’s First-Half Equalizer Secures a Road Point Before Asheville Clash
Chattanooga, TN (June 1, 2025)- The Greenville Liberty picked up a hard-fought point on the road Sunday evening, drawing 1-1 with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC in a physical, back-and-forth contest.
Chattanooga opened the scoring in the 16th minute, putting the home side ahead early. Greenville responded ten minutes later when Sydney Garner found the equalizer in the 26th minute, bringing the match level at 1-1 heading into halftime.
The second half remained intense, with both teams pushing for a winner but neither able to break the deadlock. Despite several chances and a turbulent closing stretch, the score remained unchanged at the final whistle.
With the result, Greenville moves to 2-2-1 on the season and quickly shifts focus to a key rivalry matchup.
